Write

I got back from a retreat just a short time ago, and in the quiet of the night I remembered that it has been a while since I wrote here.

I created this blog to write and to better understand my life.

A close friend of mine always recommends that I write, and I recommend the same to anyone reading this: write.

Then you might ask me: okay, but what should I write about?

Thoughts.

Then, the ordering of thoughts.

And then it becomes like putting together a puzzle: one piece after another.

The vision of the whole rarely comes at once, but a route, a path, or a direction always emerges when you write.

During the day we have many thoughts: I want to buy product x, how can I plan for that? Or: what if I travel to that place?

Each person has their own specific trigger. Our brain always gives us suggestions about what to do, and I believe that if we do not write them down, they stay stuck in the middle of the road.

Think about the amount of dreams that were lost because you did not write them down. It could be an idea, a trip, a product. The possibilities are infinite.

In my view, our brain keeps offering us options throughout the day, something similar to opening YouTube or a streaming service and deciding what to watch. If we do not write, the feeling is the same as endlessly scrolling through options and ending up watching nothing. In the worst case, this can become idleness or wasted time, depending on perspective.

My suggestion is this: write. Start and improve along the way.

As everything in life becomes easier with practice, at the end of every year I like to write down what I want for the next year. Maybe this year I am burning off the starting blocks or planning more; I still do not have clarity about it.

There will be things that are planned in detail and still go wrong. There will be things that are written very little (or not at all) and still work out. But the more you write, the more precise what you want becomes. And if this is done consistently, it becomes a way to get to know yourself and search for the pattern of what makes you happy.

I was bothered because it has been almost three months since I wrote here. I could invent endless excuses, but it was not a priority. And when you keep postponing things, time keeps passing. Here it was three months, but it could have been years, or maybe I would never write on the blog again.

One last point I wanted to bring up is this: what do I want for the year that is coming? Is it a good and correct thing? How can I make it happen? Where am I today and where do I want to be tomorrow? What path do I need to take to get there?

It is the recipe that often works for me to get my dreams out of my head and onto paper. I hope it is useful to anyone reading this.

What should you write?

Write about what moves you.

Write about what bothers you.

Write about what you want to build.

Write about what you still do not understand.

Write because writing is a form of clarity.

It is an exercise in presence. It is a ritual of mental organization. It is a path to noticing where you really are.

Writing as direction

When you write, you stop relying only on memory.

You transform noise into form.

You begin to see what was only a feeling before.

And little by little, what seemed chaotic starts to become a map.

Writing is not only recording what happens. It is preparing the ground for what may happen.

The invitation

If you are reading this, maybe it is a sign to begin.

You do not need to wait to be ready.

You do not need to wait to be certain.

You only need to begin.

Because clarity comes with practice.

And life becomes clearer when you name what you feel and what you want.
